- Flo is a 10yo approx 16.1hh grey mare who has proven herself to be a superb all rounder from hunting, to showing, to BE & BD. She has spent the last 2 years mainly focusing on dressage competing up to Elementary with her teenage rider however has now come back to us to find a new home due to daughter’s A level studies taking up too much time ahead of university. Flo has hunted in Ireland and has previously been cubbing with us and was foot perfect. She stood patiently when asked to, wasn’t phased by the hounds or other horses, wasn’t strong or silly and would go wherever she was asked to in the field. In a previous home she has also competed and won BD with scores always 66+% along with competing BE90 and BE100 with a few top 5 placings. This is something she could also continue to do but would require a competent amateur and not suitable to show someone the ropes. With the right person we can’t see why she wouldn’t be a great grassroots contender. Along with this Flo has also previously competed in Working Hunter and won her class before also standing Champion. She hacks alone and in company, will go first or last and isn’t phased by traffic. She is also snaffle mouthed for everything. She can have the odd spook (jump on the spot) at a leaf so wouldn’t be suitable for a nervous novice. Flo has also been on beach rides and fun rides and had trips to the gallops with her current owner. She is safe and sensible and not strong in any scenario. She is good for the farrier, vet, load, travel, clip and catch and has no vices. Flo could suit a number of homes as we feel like she could suit a variety of different riders and could partake in a number of disciplines. The owner is asking £12,000 to help find her the perfect home and a fitted Albion jump and Harry Dabbs dressage saddles are available through separate negotiation. She is based with us near Cullompton (10mins from J27 of the M5).
