- Absolute one in a million! Bought from his breeder in Ireland as a green 7 year old, Fortunus (Hero) has successfully evented to 4* and show jumped to 1.30 with scope to progress. Wins and placings at 1.20 and 1.30 and is an eventing schoolmaster - equally he would excel as a pure show jumper. He is capable of an excellent dressage test, however this is the jockey's weakest phase. Very honest and forgiving show jumping, very rhythmical and will take a miss. Very bold across the country, he is very quick and very capable of being inside the time (jockey likes to canter round!). He has manners to burn on the ground at home and shows, very relaxed at stay away shows. He is a total sweetheart with a lovely temperament. Will stand untied to bath and clip, good to shoe, load, etc, I take a carrot to catch in summer while he's out 24/7, comes to the gate when I shout in his winter routine. Good to hack. He loves to jump and is more forward in this discipline but always snaffle mouthed. Recently won the 1.20 Scottish Championship at Dumfries Show. Would suit a capable young jockey or would be an asset to any professional's string. Would be brilliant under 18/young riders/children on horses. Would also suit a competitive show jumper looking to have fun. Has hunted snaffle mouthed. Full history known and relatively low mileage. He is my absolute horse of a lifetime and has taken me from BE90 to 4* and taught me everything I know. Absolutely no canvassers please. 5* home required. Fit, sound and ready to go.
