Description
Casie is an approx. 16.3hh 5yo AES gelding who was Elite graded as a foal and is proving to be a very exciting sport prospect with beautiful paces, a careful scopey jump and a lovely temperament to match His sire, Casanova LDS, offers an interesting mix of proven and valuable dressage lines in Pik Bube, Rubinstein, and the influential thoroughbred Lauries Crusador XX with some excellent jumping breeding in Contendro. His dam used to be owned by Carl Hester who bred his successful dressage horse Chocolate Orange from her. She brings to the table some interesting show jumping lines in all times greats such as Sandro and the Cor de la Bryere son Cordalme Z. Casie has been slowly produced to give him time to mature with his future in mind. Although still green in the school he has a willing and trainable attitude towards his work and is showing that he has 3 big, uphill paces that in time will produce a beautiful test and could go up the levels easily pure dressage Casie has just been introduced to jumping popping over a few small cross poles and small SJ courses at home and schooling away from home over the arena XC fences at Pontispool. He’s proven to really enjoy his jumping whilst showing an incredible scopey jump making him a very exciting Eventing prospect. He hacks alone and in company, will go first or last and has been good with all traffic we have met with him so far but can have the odd spook at a scary leaf! He has also proven to be sensible in open spaces and wasn’t strong or silly. Everything he has done with us to date he has been snaffle mouth. He has no lumps/bumps or vices. He is currently only shod in front and was a bit fidgety for his first shoes but something that is improving every time he sees the farrier. He needs a bit of time to load (took us about 5 minutes) which we feel is is due to inexperience and will improve but once on he travels like a dream.   We think he would really excel in an eventing home with his fantastic movement and powerful jump but think he would also suit a dressage or high level all rounder type home with the correct training. He is not suitable for a nervous and/or novice rider due to his age and experience.   The owner is asking £16,000 for him and looking for an experienced home to bring out the best in this exciting young horse. We are based near Cullompton (10mins from J27 of the M5).    Please contact Natalie on 07508039177 or the HQ Equestrian Facebook page for any additional questions, pictures/videos or to arrange a viewing.
