This is easily the hardest decision I've ever had to make but sadly I have to seek a new home for my beloved Barnaby. I bought Barnaby a year ago, directly from the family who bred him, with the view to giving him a home for life. Sadly, financial pressures on our house renovation now mean that I need to find him a new owner. So, a heart-breaking private sale, where the home is of the utmost importance.
16.1hh, 7yo, WB x Palomino gelding, very eye-catching and with a lovely nature. Easy to do; my non-horsey husband regularly looks after him when I’m away for the weekend. Barnaby has been slowly and carefully produced by me, and his breeders before me, with his long-term future in mind, taking part in SJ, XC, ODE, Dressage, Fun Rides & clinics.
He has 3 nice paces and a natural, scopey & careful jump. He doesn’t need to be ridden every day and hacks out alone & in company. He can be spooky, but this is improving the more of the world he sees. Good with traffic and polite in open spaces. Good to shoe, clip, box and catch. No vices.
Over the past year, he has thrived on a small private yard with a 1:1 relationship, and I would love to find him a similar set up in a Grassroots/RC home, with an experienced, capable rider, where he will get lots of turnout, hacking & variety. His breeder & I are both keen to stay in touch with his new owner and follow his journey.
