- Description
- Gorgeous 16.1 11yo chestnut gelding now looking for his new partner to have loads of fun hacking, hunting, fun rides and jumping. Fabulous temperament 3 lovely paces and loves his jumping, easy to a fence and will take a miss, happy jumping a small course with fillers and trays, not strong to a fence.
He has been to arena hire and xc schooling, easy to take places on your own he loads and travels well and behaves beautifully away from home. Red has done a couple of days of hound exercise and a meet and was great, stands at the meet / when waiting and will go back to help stragglers while the field moves on but still covers the ground and will gallop like a sports car when you want to open him up.
Hacks alone and in company front or back, good with the traffic we see and machinery. Will happily stand in the paddock for 2 weeks then go for a canter in the fields without getting fresh, same if ridden every day or left for a week. Has had children ride him when their ponies go lame and is often nanny horse to our youngsters. The only thing Red isn’t very impressed with is dressage, he can work in a lovely outline but if he’s honest would rather not especially in canter so we are looking for someone wanting to enjoy all the things he does rather than push him in that direction.
Red is a pretty chilled out guy, eligible ROR having retired sound from his very short racing career (more than happy to let the others go first!) he has good strong feet and lives out 24/7 in a herd with us including over winter, let’s the small kids pet and groom him and not put off by them shouting and playing while he’s being exercised.
Super loving home sought for this special guy, a real yard favourite we want to see him go to someone who loves him for who he is.
