Description
Bimbi 13.1½ 7yr cob mare Bimbi has been in the same home from a 3yr old and since being backed she has taken part in various shows, jumping, showing and inhand, fun rides, mini hunter trials, Easter egg hunts, lessons, sj and xc venue hires as well as the usual schooling and lots of hacking at home. She is easy to do in all ways, to catch, lead, load, travel, shoe, clip, bath etc and is clipped/bathed/handled by an 11yr old. She is happy in or out. She is schooling sweetly with 3 nice, active paces and good transitions. Not for a complete novice, she is only 7 so not a 'schoolmaster' and not a complete kick along, she likes to be working and does still occasionally need some tidying up, more so in canter with bits like picking up the correct lead, she's mostly been schooled by her owner so they have been having lessons and learning together. She will go steadier with someone she feels is unsure and then go up the gears when they're feeling more confident or with a more competent rider. She enjoys jumping and has done lots of fillers and xc fences happily and has a tidy pop, she does go better with someone that is 'up for it' and will give her some 'umph' and let her get on and enjoy herself rather than someone that umms and ahhs and waits for her to do it for them, she just puts minimal effort in and treats everything as a cross pole! This does mean she will gear down for a smaller child to do cross poles without over jumping everything though! She loves cross country schooling and jumps everything asked of her, happy leading others or going behind, through water etc. I think she'd love a PC/RC/hunt home with someone who wants to get out and have some fun. She's a good girl, she does occasionally try her luck and hang to the gate or her friends but nothing a tap down the shoulder doesn't fix, her owner is not particularly gutsy and she deals with it easily. She is fantastic to hack, she has mainly hacked in company being a child's pony but will go alone. She is happy in front, behind or upside and goes past tractors, lorries, trailers, motorbikes, bicycles etc without even looking. She is used to a farm environment so cows/sheep/dogs/kids/tractors/quads in and out etc... She will wander along with a smaller child or wake up and stretch her little legs to do her best to keep up with the horses. She will go for a canter with the others (or alone) without throwing shapes or getting silly. At home there is no arena so she is used to being schooled in a field, so grass is not a novelty! She does also work happily on the lead rein. She is a really fun, sweet pony looking for a competent kid or small teen/adult, or mum/child share, looking to get out and have some fun (without the hassle of a big horse maybe?) She is up to date with everything and has recently been guinea pig at the vets for the vet students to practice xraying and scanning, and these were all good.
