- Alberti-Benefit OB (Bertie) is an extremely kind and handsome gelding with the breeding and potential to become a stunning dressage horse. This chap is bred and owned by a British equine vet, with a passion for producing a small number of quality performance horses. Bertie has been professionally backed this spring by Connie Colfox of CC Young Horse Specialist LLP. He is now ready for the next step in his training, with a new owner who will ensure his continued and careful development as a successful dressage horse. Bertie started life on a rural and spacious West Country equine stud and veterinary practice, with stable mate Adelaide OB. Sired by Benefit and out of Woodlander Malibu, he has the genes to make him an excellent dressage prospect. Bertie has been expertly looked after by his veterinary owner, with great care and attention given to his handling from the very start. He has excellent manners both in the stable and in the field, and he is great for the farrier. Bertie is very easy to handle on the ground and under saddle, and he was ridden out for the first time by his current owner at the end of March. Bertie has a wonderful floating gait, and shows excellent movement in walk, trot and canter. He is an incredibly exciting prospect. Only serious contenders with the right outlook will be considered.
