Handsome Thoroughbred, French bred, German name. Flat raced as a 2/3/4 year old, Point to Pointed as a 5 year old and I bought December 2022 as a 6 year old, having been retired from racing because not winning any money. I had hoped to turn him into a happy hacker but he has proved too lively for me. He had a 2 stage vet check at the time of purchase and has had no health problems with me. Recently had full dental check and rasping. He initially rode out alone, apart from some flying bucks but developed separation issues from my elderly horse and then started napping. After a couple of months of frustrated riding I gave him 5 months off to adjust to his new life, new diet, new owner, get used to electric fencing and to being grass kept, as well as stabled and using an open barn as an alternative turnout. I also did some Parelli with him. He has been schooled for the last 4 months in a grass menage. He will hack out 'riding and leading' but not alone. I have had some lessons on him with a freelance instructor and he has a lovely balanced gait in walk and trot but he remains too lively for me and I do not have the time, fitness or confidence to bring him on (I'm 62 myself). He can be very soft and gentle but is also angsty. He is great to groom, tack, rug and stands still to mount. He is perfect with farrier and loaded easily to come to me and travelled well but has not travelled since. Photos include one from previous owner.
