- Sad sale of a much loved pony. Lucky is a 12.1hh gelding, Irish sports pony, 20 years young. We have owned him for just over 2 years and have done all pony club activities, including 2 camps. He is super to load/travel in a trailer or lorry, will stand all day happily at a show, good to clip, catch, farrier (he is barefoot), vet, dentist. Lives out 24/7 with us but can be stabled. Just has to be able to see another pony. Has done mounted games competitively with a previous older jockey which he was very good at it. He is a gem on lead rein, will follow you anywhere. Superb out hacking, will follow me for miles when I’m on a bike/running. He is NOT a first ridden as can take advantage of a smaller less competent rider in certain situations when going solo. I feel he is best suited to a lead rein home or 2nd pony with an older lightweight competent child wanting to have fun/do games etc. Or if you have both that would be ideal. He has a nice little pop in him and schools beautifully on the flat. Fully up to date with vaccinations, feet and teeth. Will come with bridle and saddle, right home more important than price.
