- Beautiful, cheeky Shetland pony looking for some love and attention.
Mischief (aka chief) is a 5 year old piebald shetland pony stallion who I have owned since he was 12 months old. He has great breeding (show name: Begorra Fire Cracker) and I have his passport and breeding details available.
I bought Chief as a companion pony when I take one of my two out competing but neither of them really consider him a replacement of the other… and neither of them are very good doers so they have a huge field and it has been too much for chief so he has ended up in his own smaller paddock all summer. Chief absolutely loves to have a pamper and groom and just enjoys having human company, something I don’t have time to give much of unfortunately. I think he would make a fantastic children’s pony with time and experience. He is halter trained, and has stood for the farrier etc. but other than that he has just been out in the field.
He lives out 24/7 but is also happy to stay in the stable when needed.
He is a typical Shetland and very cheeky but never stops making us all laugh, I would love him to go to a loving home with someone who has time to give him the attention he deserves and gets him out there doing more exciting things than being out in the field all day.
Would make a great show pony, breeding stallion, and I imagine he would be fantastic at Shetland pony racing too. He is fearless and will turn his hoof to anything!
Very sad sale but I want what’s best for him. Home is super important, and l would ideally like him to stay relatively close by!
