Description
Arabella is a wonderful pony. We have had her with us for 3 years and previous to that she came from the forest, where she had lived all her life as a broodmare. She is out of Kenita and by Moortown Nobby and is a pure bred New Forest pony on a green passport. Arabella is an absolutely fantastic hacking pony. She loves long rides, she isn't spooky or worried by traffic and really looks after her rider. She has been on pleasure rides, sponsored rides and also hunted with hounds and was foot perfect at all times. She is excellent to clip, good with the farrier, dentist and loads with no issues. She is just as happy stabled or living out and can be either on her own or currently she is living in a mixed herd. Arabella can jump and at home has been jumping around 80 in the school. She jumped logs and small fences, hedges whilst she was out hunting. She prefers a balanced quiet rider. She is definitely more whoa that go but doesn't enjoy being pony club kicked or yanked in the mouth. Being ridden quietly and with soft hands. Arabella's only vice and hence reflected in the price, is that she does not enjoy pressure. Although she will school and she will jump, she doesn't enjoy being pushed and this can cause her at times to buck. The bucks are occasional and not all the time but tend to happen when she has had enough and this is why she is much better suited to a hacking home. You can feel her about to do this and can push her out of it and distract her but this takes time and partnership. Once that partnership has been built, she would go on to be a fantastic pony and turn her hand to anything but it has to be stressed that hacking and sponsored rides would be the preferred option for her initially, until you get to know her. She has no health issues.
