Ringo is a fantastic horse with a bright future.
He's a 15.3hh bay thoroughbred gelding. 5 years old (6 in March).
(note: I'm 5'10 and make everything look small)
He raced once as a 2 year old, but decided racing wasn't for him.
I've owned him over two years, and this is a very hard sale for me.
He's the nicest horse, with the sweetest temperament. He wants to be friends with everyone, and he will try his little heart out to make you happy.
I've been bringing him on slowly, letting him mature at his own pace.
We've done dressage, jumping, cross-country, hacking and lots of schooling.
He's taken it all in his stride, and is becoming a fantastic all-rounder.
His paces are gorgeous - he has a lovely, floaty trot, and the best walk I've ever seen on a horse. His canter is perfect, and he'll canter all day if you ask him.
We've been jumping 90 at home, and he's got the scope to go higher.
He hacks out alone, and in company, and isn't bothered by traffic, or anything else.
Ringo loads and travels well, and has been used to babysit nervous horses.
He's sensible to ride and handle, but I wouldn't recommend him for complete novices, as he is a forward and fun ride.
He does crib, but this is controlled with a cribbing collar, which he's happy to wear.
He's got a superficial skin issue that doesn't affect him in any way, but I am happy to discuss in detail.
He gets hayfever in summer, but this is controlled with antihistamines.
