- Meet Cookie! Cookie is a 13.2hh Welsh B gelding that is the perfect family addition. He is a great pony for novice children being very forgiving and always stops if they become unsteady in the saddle so great for those coming off lead rein. However he could easily match a more experienced smaller child wanting to move up to something bigger.He is your typical Welshie being safe and sweet, but has a lot of character. Always safe to handle on the ground and ridden, and good to get on and ride straight away even when he has been out of work. He is good to bath, groom, lead and for the vet. He can be a little fidgety for the farrier but this has only been since he has been shod all round as this is new to him. With us he has been out and done cross country which he loves. He has hacked a lot, and is always a super safe ride out in big open fields as well as on the roads. He is never phased by anything out and about. He is happy going out as a group or alone. He is always willing to turn his hoof to anything asked of him, and would also excel in dressage for those wanting to try this. Cookie has lived out 24/7 with us as part of a herd, as well as been stabled overnight and he is happy with either. Cookie does have sweet itch, which we have found is manageable with the use of a sweet-itch rug. A low sugar diet and decent insect sprays, we also use Anacura gel/spray which helps keep any itch at bay. Cookie comes with all his tack as well as a few rugs. No loans or payment plans. This is a hard sale as he is such a perfect pony, but he is quite green jumping in an arena, and we are looking for something that is more experienced/point and go for a novice rider who just wants to jump. He is up to date on farrier, vaccinations, worming etc. Happy to send more pictures/videos if required. Sorry, no loans or payment plans.
