- Poppy has been with us for 2.5 years and has absolute superstar during that time. She would make a great 1.5 or second pony. She has been ridden and handled by my daughter from the age of 9-11 and although privately owned she is also on the pony loan scheme at our stables so ridden and handled by a variety of children of all ages. Poppy has done a bit of everything during her time with us from lessons, hacking, cross country, pony club rallies, pony club camp, bare back riding and show jumping. She is nearly always in the ribbons when out jumping and will happily jump round a course of 50-60cm. She has qualified for the Sunshine Tour for the last 3 years and last year was Champion in the 40cm and reserve champion in the 45cm out of a field of 60 plus. Slightly more whoa than go and does need a bit of leg to get her going. Whilst Poppy is a good pony she does need a fairly strong rider who can get her going forwards or she can be a bit lazy. If she has a strong rider on her she will go well. Because of this she is not suitable for a beginner or someone straight off the lead rein, more of a 1.5 or second pony. That said she is safe and has a lot of talent. She is a very sweet, affectionate pony, always happy to see you and very easy to handle, she’ll do anything for a polo! Good to hack and with traffic. Good to load, clip and for the farrier, currently barefoot. Loves to be groomed and pampered. Good to catch. Will live in or out but does need access to grazing every day as she likes being out. A 5* home only for this exceptional pony and we would like to keep in touch. She is sadly for sale as my daughter is outgrowing her and ready to move up to the next level. £6900 including tack and rugs.
