Gurnos Fay
Classy Welsh A Mare 12hh rising 6 (Green passport)
Perfect LR/2nd pony. That said, she has taken my son off the lead and been his first pony. She is now hopelessly outgrown.
Fay moves beautifully and has previously shown successfully. With us she has been an active PC pony, attending a variety of rallies (dressage winter league, jumping and mounted games). She also went to PC camp last year, and has been XC schooling - she is bold with ditches and water etc.
She has competed in a number of disciplines on the leadrein. Placing in the Specialised Ability Dressage at the JCB national championships, and being part of the mounted games pony club parade at our local ploughing match. More recently she has been competing off the lead, doing the Dressage Winter League and some jumping.
Fay is sound sensitive at big events but is managed effectively with plugs in.
Hacks alone and in company, but does prefer company and likes to follow.
Good with the farrier, dentist etc. Easy to clip but does require a twitch to do her ears. Loads and travels quietly and will stand patiently. Has been in a 3.5T and a trailer with us, no issues.
Very polite on the ground, my son does everything with her independently. Also handled by his younger brother age 3. She is a typical Welsh mare, pulls faces and likes her space in the stable but that’s as far as it goes. Lives in or out happily and goes with the flow.
Can be sassy to ride off the lead and try her luck napping - has been known to throw in an excited buck on occasion. She’s a fun ride, with brakes. Has never phased my son.
Upto date with teeth, vaccinations etc.
Comes with bridle, saddle and some rugs.
Will only go to the best of homes and new owner must be happy to stay in touch. She is an incredibly special pony with so much potential.
