Description: Guapo is a super sweet 12 yr old 16.1 Lusitano gelding, currently working at advanced medium level dressage. He's been in the same home for five years and is now only for sale due to his owner's lack of time. He has “all the moves” (incl passage and piaffe) and loves nothing more than being the centre of attention and being groomed! He is good to shoe and load as well as with the vet and dentist. He also hacks out alone or in company. That said, he is NOT A NOVICE ride as he does spook and tends to get nervous without a confident rider on board. Good to know: - while sound, he can be intermittently stiff on his right hind from an old injury but this usually clears up after he's been warmed up. Full details available on request. - needs sedation for clipping. - is quirky re turnout, in that too much of it tends to worry him! He's currently turned out solo for 1 - 1.5 hours twice a day and stabled at night which seems to suit him. Guapo's ideal home would be on a quiet yard with someone with knowledge of Iberians who is looking to build a special bond and is perhaps looking to learn a bit more.
