- 13.2 6 year old gelding Smokey Jo (SJ) Is a competent child / teenagers fun pony SJ adores a variety of life, He's fabulous at hacking, jumping, gymkhana. Sj has taken part in all activities including Beach rides - he loves a splash in the water and will fizz up a gear or steady up. Show jumping - training and competing this year at 60-70cm although this pony can jump and will for sure go up the heights we just havnt pushed it with him being young. He's easily popped bigger at home 80s 90s 1m without hesitation. He is bold, brave and very honest, he very rarely says no and even if the kids get it wrong he will take off of any stride, occasionally knocking a pole but not known to dirty stop or run out. He's just taken part in the trailblaizers champs and for his first big show we couldn't of asked for anything better from him. He was totally unphased by the environment and popped round happily, sadly knocking one both days. Cross Country- Sj has done some xc and my golly he shines, he absolutely loves this! He pops whatever you place in front of him as long as the child is game! Kick on and he will fly. He's competed 50/60 xc and has flew some 80s / 90s in training. Smokey is an out and out superstar who's looking for someone to continue his fun and start to step up a gear with his competing. Although he's brought on a girl this year straight from a riding school and helped build her confidence no end He is by no means a pony for a nervous child purely as he has character, if he's happy he will go into zoomies and may pop a buck. This is only when he's excited and it may happen once or twice a month or not for months but for this reason I wouldn't want him to go to a nervous child. He is forward going with out being crazy hot but he will go up and down the gears to suit his rider. He can be a typical pony and pull to the grass but handled by my daughter, backed and produced for the last 2.5 years and she's jus turning 16, she's done everything with him from day one.
