- Sad sale of Tony the Pony! Tones is the yard star, he is a 4yo proper Irish cob gelding. He is beautifully marked with a lovely head and bright eye. He is super intelligent, keen and quick learner and never had a bad thought in his head. He is very much a ‘competition cob’! Tony is bomb proof hacking in traffic- he is NOT a plod, he is a jolly marching little chap, never have to use any leg but not strong! He hacks alone or in company, roads or fields. He has been to the beach in a group of 9 horses, was bold as brass and straight the sea and perfectly well behaved. He has been to unaffiliated dressage and showjumping shows- he has a careful pop, loves to keep the poles up and is brave over all fillers. He has been xc schooling and was foot perfect, he doesn’t ride to fences like a green horse, he is a proper old head on young shoulders! He has just been to a hunter trial as the lead horse and came 5th in a big class! He is often used to nanny our breakers on first hacks. He has lovely markings, full of beautiful fluffy feather and lovely movement. Would excel showing. He loads and travels in lorry/trailer and will stand alone at a show when his friends are taken away. He is much more than a cob- he is a superstar competition pony, would be perfect for a competitive child wanting a rosette machine or big enough and talented enough for a small adult as an eventing pony. He would do any job and he answers every question that is asked of him. Ideal family pony. While he is super safe he is not a dead head plod- he NEVER bucks/naps/rears but he is bright and busy (in an ears pricked forward thinking way!) and would love to see him have a career and flourish with new owners!
