Description: Please read ad fully: We are looking for someone to buy our special and much loved green book Connemara but before that happens we’d like for a relationship to be developed from our yard near Stow-on-the Wold / Bourton-on-the-Water (GL54). Benny is a sensitive sole and has a few quirks, nothing dangerous, he knows his own mind and can be stubborn. We’d like to help with those early day challenges as we know him so well. We owe it to Benny to find the perfect people for him. We bought Benny almost 3 years ago as my daughter’s first pony but is now sadly outgrown. In that time my daughter has worked hard to overcome a few challenges along the way and she’s definitely a better rider for it. He has really taught her how to ride and he’s now in a position to do that for someone else! Benny enjoys hacking, fun rides, being pampered and fussed over. He schools nicely on the flat and this has been the main focus over the past 18 months, successfully competing at affiliated preliminary and novice British Dressage. He recently did is first Freestyle to music at Sheepgate Under 25’s Championship scoring 68%! He also qualified this year for both the Winter and Summer Petplan Area Festivals. Showjumping and xc has been for fun, nothing too competitive and nothing over 70cm. In his past he has competed affiliated SJ and Eventing to quite a high level but we feel he needs to take a step back from the super competitive stuff. A few weeks ago he came 2nd at a low key mini ODE, he loved it! The key is to keep it fun and lighthearted for this boy now. The current yard where we would like Benny to be trialled offers excellent facilities including an 20x60 indoor arena, a set of show jumps, fabulous hacking and a fun and friendly atmosphere. My daughter would be on hand to offer any advice. There are also opportunities for professional training on site as well as yard trips to arena hires, xc schooling etc. He is currently on full livery so we are asking for only a small financial contribution to cover some of these costs during the trial period. The trial period could be anything from 2 weeks to a couple of months. Once a relationship was established and all parties were happy, we would sell Benny for a very reasonable price.
