- Ideal riding club / pony club horse and bred to excel in the show ring Ruby is a fantastic all rounder who is always eager to please. She has been to farm rides, showjumping and arena hires and always behaves impeccably. She is great to hack and will go in the front, at the back or alone. She isn’t fazed by any heavy traffic or big farm machinery. She absolutely loves to jump and has placings up to 70cm and has competed at big venues, indoors and outdoors and totally unbothered by the big atmospheres. Out XC she will jump absolutely anything asked of her. She can get slightly strong across country but it’s just excitement and nothing dangerous. We have found this manageable with a two ring gag, however she is snaffle mouthed in every other instance. She has an understanding of working correctly in the arena and will produce a lovely test with a bit of tidying up. Great to clip, load, travel. Perfect for the farrier and has always been barefoot. Happy living out or in a stable and manages her weight well for a native (isn’t too good of a doer). She is a forward going and responsive horse who responds best to a quieter rider. For this reason she is unsuitable for a novice or unbalanced rider, however there isn’t a nasty bone in her body and she’s never bucked / reared / bolted etc. She is very slightly ear shy but can still be bridled and haltered easily. Ruby has honestly been such a pleasure to produce and she will go very far in the right hands. She’s gives everything 110% and she will truly be missed by us.
