'JACK'
14.1hh Welsh cob gelding (2010)
Very well bred Welsh cob
True all-rounder who loves to be ridden
Forward going responsive ride trained to voice aids
Takes up the leg and rides much bigger than his height
Consistent dressage marks at 65+ in prelim and novice, easy to train. Qualified for online dressage champs
Scopy and brave jumper over XC and coloured fences, not spooky or silly, really tried his hardest. Been round BE80 and 90 tracks with ease. Won riding club showjumping championships and one day events.
Done some pony club games as a bit of fun
Hacks alone and in company, will happily explore for hours, not spooky
Low mileage competition wise due to a student budget and doctoral study but been out and seen everything. Shown at Blair, various XC, dressage and showjumping venues, hills, beach etc.
Snaffle mouthed all disciplines
Good for the vet, teeth, feet. Falls asleep when clipped. Currently barefoot with strong feet. Never needed sedation
Good to travel, loads easily. Been taken about Scotland by a small young woman and competed by herself
Good doer, just fed a balancer, some fibre and salt
Not suitable for novices due to the Welsh pony brain
Professionally fitted tack available separately
Same home last 4 years, only selling due to owner relocation for work. Home more important than price
