Waxwing Prince Hal, or Thomas. A pony who is still recognised at competitions from his winning year at HOYS.
Firstly, if your child wants a whizzy forward pony, Tom is not for you. IMO he is a school master, will go a little faster when really asked but mostly it’s at his own rocking horse safe, pace.
Tom is a very handsome, special pony. In his time he has won everything asked of him. We were passed the baton 2 years ago from a family in our pony club. All of Toms pervious owners remain in touch, they all love him like we do and you will.
For us, Tom has been the most incredible first ridden pony. My daughter was very nervous when we started, she was 8. We needed a pony who would start and stop when asked, who would trot into fences and pop them gently. Together they have won all their mini working hunter, first ridden, pony club jumping classes. He will go first or last across the farm rides and busy hunt type rides.
He is sadly for sale as my daughter is ready for more and we don’t want to change him. He’s a steady handsome rocking horse type. Just popping gently up and down the paces.
This pony is to good to retire, he looks better than ever this year qualifying for STARS as one of the many achievements.
Tom loves his outside time. He needs turnout all year round and a field buddy to enjoy it with. We have him out overnight across the summer and in during the day, then over winter in overnight and out all day. He has lived out in the past and was happy with that.
Loads himself. Has front shoes for his cute fancy feet. Does have very mild Cushings managed with 1/4 tablet a day. Costs 0.25p a day. His levels have not changed.
Please understand that we will be particular about who comes to view him.
I’d like him to go to a little person who is balanced but he will tolerate baggy reins and patiently work out where the driver is trying to go. He can be left for weeks and not change. He’s a wonderful easy, safe pony who you will be proud to own.
