This super smart little horse is looking for his new home where he can continue having lots of fun and bringing smiles to his new jockey! He has been there and got the T-shirt teamed with a great temperament and lots of ability- the sort that are very hard to find!
Solo is a 15.2hh 7yr old bay traditionally bred Irish sports horse gelding. Full green Irish book by the sire Clover Echo, the dam Rosita Fly and the grand sire Clover Hill. A lovely traditional Irish stamp with a leg in each corner who has proven he can turn his hoof to any discipline. Beautifully conformed with great feet, clean legs and moves straight and correctly.
A fun amateur ride who would be suitable for any type of rider. Ideal for someone coming off ponies, a mother/daughter share or someone wanting a quality horse to do grassroots/run up the levels. The type who would suit many homes to do any job!
Has been there and done it all from arena eventing, pleasure/beach rides, dressage, riding club, eventing, workers, combined training aswell as clinics and camps.
Three superb paces, super rhythmical canter which is a dream to sit on. Works in a correct consistent outline in all three gaits and works well from the aids without being sharp. Produces a lovely test in the dressage boards with scores in the 70% region so could very easily turn his hoof to moving through the levels BD.
He absolutely loves his jumping and is a real genuine kind who wants to please. He doesn’t need a pro jockey or a perfect stride and is a simple straightforward ride to a fence with no hidden quirks. Isn’t phased by fillers, steps, skinnies and bigger bolder fences.
Has been regularly competing at 80-1m with easy both eventing, arena eventing and showjumping with an amateur rider. He has plenty of ability to go up the levels if needed(definate potential for BE novice) but would equally be as happy and competitive as a top grassroots prospect or equally a lovely fun riding club allrounder!
Won the BE arena eventing qualifier at Epworth out of 45 last weekend with a faultless double clear qualifying him for the finals at the end of feb.
Hacks out alone or in company on the roads, in the forest or on the beach. Rock solid in the heaviest of traffic and sees farm machinery on a daily basis. Will go first or last and is great in open spaces.
Very easy to have on the yard. The type who’s happy when he’s got food! No vices, will live in out, doesn’t need daily riding to keep him sane and is the same whether he’s ridden once a week or 5 days a week. Good to box(trailer/lorry), shoe, clip, catch and plait. The same away from home as at home and is fine working in groups in clinics/lessons.
Full history known, breeder and previous owner would love to stay in touch. No medical history or issues. Currently fit out competing and ready to go out and have lots of fun. Upto to date with teeth, vaccines, shoes ect.
Mr versatile who will do any job from eventing(grassroots/up the levels), riding club, BD, working hunter or just a lovely genuine allrounder to have fun with!
