- The Ultimate Steady Eddy! Archie is mr sane and sensible with a laid back level headed attitude to everything asked of him! He is a true amateurs horse who couldn’t care less if you get it wrong or mess it up! He has a huge heart with a super temperament and is looking for a new home where he can find a best friend who is as happy being as laid back as he is! Anfield’s Archie is an approx 16.2hh 4yr old Irish gelding by the sire Killinick Bouncer and the dam Gortahile Carrina Clover. He is the type who will turn his hoof and have a go at anything from hunting to pleasure rides, to riding club and everything in between. He isn’t going to be the next 4/5* horse and doesn’t want to go everywhere at a 100mph but he’s very genuine, honest and will make a lovely grassroots 80/90 horse! He’s been ridden by a variety of different riders all of which have felt very safe! He would take any level of rider and wouldn’t take offence at a novice. An arm chair ride with a leg in each corner he’s defiantly more a woah ride than go hence why he feels so sane and sensible to sit on yet he has the ability and attitude to be an excellent grassroots allrounder as his education progress. Has been lightly educated keeping his future soundness in mind, has taken part in beach rides, pleasure rides, unaffiliated sj,dressage and eventing as well as lots of hacking to get him about and about seeing the world. Happily showjumping and xc schooling around 80/90cm, stays in a lovely steady rhythm and doesn’t get whizzy. Three lovely paces and with continued education in the school will do a great test- got a 34 in his first one day event! Does everything in a snaffle from hacking to xc! Isn’t phased in open spaces or busy warm ups he just keeps that steady sane and sensible head. Rock solid in the heaviest of traffic, not phased by buses, artics or tractors. Hacks alone and in company, loves the beach. He doesn’t need daily riding to keep him sane and is the same wether he’s ridden once a week or once a month. An absolute gent to handle- even the non horsey other half turns him in and out! Like a big dog to handle, lovely to do, good to box(trailer/lorry),shoe,clip,catch. No vices and absolutely loves people! Ideal riding club or grassroots prospect, family friend or happy hack! He isn’t going to win any races but a genuine reliable friend who has a lovely outlook on life. Top home wanted for this special boy!
