- Scropton Horse Centre is a busy equestrian centre in Derbyshire providing activities with horses for both people with additional needs and mainstream participants. We are an ambitious centre with excellent indoor and outdoor facilities and a developing range of horses and ponies. We are looking for an experienced and progressive Senior Coach to be an important driver in transforming us into a centre of excellence. The role is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of coaching at our centre, be the face of our centre and set the bar for our standards. For an ambitious candidate with the right attitude and values, this is a great chance to make a real difference to our centre and everyone who comes here. We are looking for a qualified and experienced Senior Coach to lead & manage our coaching team. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, both with staff and volunteers at the centre, but particularly with our participants. They will also be responsible for building, improving and maintaining our team of horses and ponies. The role requires a minimum BHS AI qualification but equally important is a real interest in helping us make a positive impact on the lives of our participants and a willingness to gain RDA coaching qualifications. The Senior Coach needs to be enthusiastic, approachable, and most importantly, possess a ‘can do’ attitude to find solutions rather than problems. The role offers the chance to be a part of the management team, contributing to the centre’s strategic and charitable aims it will require working with targets and budgets to meet our plans of expansion and improvement.
