Daylesford Stud in Moreton-in-Marsh

Description: Daylesford Stud is set in 115 acres in the heart of the Cotswolds between Moreton-in-Marsh and Stow-on-the-Wold breeding and producing top class racehorses. As stud hand your day-to-day role will include full yard duties, including mucking out, paddock and general stud maintenance, assisting with the vet and farrier plus the handling and general care of all young stock and broodmares, including assisting with foaling. This is a full-time role working a 40-hour week and alternative weekends. During foaling you may be required to work evening/night shifts on rota with other members of staff. Previous experience is preferred and you will need to hold a full UK drivers' licence. The ability to drive a two-stall horsebox is desirable and/or holding a current LGV/HGV licence. A competitive salary depending on experience is offered along with accommodation. Pension, private medical care, 29 days paid holiday, inclusive of bank holidays, is provided after a probationary period.
