Description
12hh, Welsh A, gelding, 15 years old. We have had Beau for nearly 4 years and in that time, he has brought my sons riding on beyond all recognition, from lead rein to a week’s jumping at pony club camp. This is a heart-breaking sale, but he is sadly outgrown and ready for his new adventure with another jockey. Beau is beautifully mannered on the ground and is handled by children of all ages. He is totally bombproof on the lead rein and is 100% safe out hacking, cantering in large open spaces on or off the lead rein. He is stabled on a working farm and is unfazed by farm machinery, cars, bikes etc. Beau is a true all-rounder, he has been to various pony club camps, rallies, fancy dress and mounted games. He takes everything in his stride and has provided so much fun for my children. He loves his jumping and has a smooth technique over fences, making it very easy for children to sit and gain confidence. In four years with us he has never refused a fence and is happy jumping courses of 60/70cm. Beau is an excellent lead rein pony but also an ideal first or second pony. He is not yet a “push button” pony as he can be sprightly if not in regular work, but this is nothing that a quick lunge before riding hasn’t rectified. Would be safe to learn on, and a very competitive little pony with the right jockey. He has never bucked, reared or bolted. Beau’s loves to be clipped, shod, bathed, and will stand all day to be pampered by my children. He has excellent stable manners and can be loaded onto the lorry by my 8-year-old and travels like a dream. He is currently barefoot and up to date with vaccinations and teeth. A 5* home sought for this special pony.
