- ✨ Whispering Willow ✨ East Sussex, Crowborough Willow is a 13.2hh 12 year old piebald mare. She’s super at everything she does and would go well at affiliated competition in showjumping or eventing of her new owner wishes. She has so much talent and potential, she easily goes round a course of 1m and has been jumping 1m15 singles. She’s happy to literally go wherever up / down steps, in water and rivers and over solid jumps. Willow steps up and down for her rider, with a more confident rider she will jump 1m15 yet she’s quite happy and able to trot round with a beginner, a fall back due to loss of balance is no problem for willow. She is responsive, you ask her to go and she goes you ask her to stop and she stops. Willow is always snaffle mouthed and is not strong she is however fast, she is a more active and forward pony that’s just the way she is. She has an incredible jump which is beautifully pingy and there’s just something about her that people love. She will love an active home where she’s being ridden, going out to events maybe pony club, eventing, showjumping or whatever takes your fancy. Willow would be perfect for a teenager, small adult wanting to jump, 2nd pony, 3rd pony. She will happily be ridden by less experienced siblings for example Willow has done and seen so much with us including, - Showjumping competitions - XC schooling at Hicksted - Dressage competitions - Showing Shows including one county show - Being ridden to a coffee shack in our hometown high street - Gallops Willow has qualified for The Sunshine Tour at Hicksted in September in showjumping Willow hacks alone and in company, she is ridden in the arena alone and in company. She has traveled in a trailer and a horse box, she is up to date with Farrier, injections, teeth, back man etc. Willow is fit and ready to go, she regularly goes up to our gallops and we are also on the Ashdown Forest so she’s used to open spaces, dogs, helicopters, any traffic. Willow isn’t spooky and ignores the weather. She has been a good one for a beginner rider who has recently started coming to us to ride. Willow loves going out in the field with her friends, she’s in a mixed group. Comes when called and if not is easy to catch. She’s very gentle when taking treats, will stand all day to be brushed and will fall asleep in the horse box whilst you eat some cheesy chips (she’ll also eat your left over chips too!)
