Description
Buddy is a 16.1hh 11 year old ex racehorse. On the ground - Buddy is 100% on the ground. Often handled by children. Turns out with other geldings, although has also been out with mares with no issues. Always good to catch. Loves being brushed, stands tied happily and good to bath. Picks up all 4 feet and also good for the farrier. Buddy stables or lives out, at the moment he’s stabled at night and out in the day. He does prefer turnout every day as he loves to roll! Good for the farrier, dentist, vet. In the saddle - Buddy is suited to a competent rider. He’s not a complete novices horse, he’s very lovely but can be slightly forward and buzzy. Doesn’t buck / rear / bronc / bolt etc. Always has breaks. Ridden last year by a competent novice girl for flatwork and hacking. Schools in all 3 paces, will work correctly for a competent rider. More kick along in the school but still responsive to the leg. Really enjoys polework. He has jumped but is still green so would need an experienced rider to bring him on in this aspect. Overall he’s a real sweetheart that deserves the very best home with someone that just wants a nice horse to enjoy for low level shows / hacking / fun rides. Been out to arena hires & clinics. Up to date with vacs, dentist, equine massage and chiropractor. Comes with his bridle and a few rugs. Saddle available by separate negotiation.
