Romeo is a leg in each corner type, ideal weight carrier.
I bought Romeo with the intention to sell him back 3 years ago, but I fell in love, so he stayed. However with my circumstances changing, forces his very sad sale.
In the time romeo has been with us he’s looked after a variety of different riders & inexperienced horses alike. In the past year he’s taught my partner how to ride, from his very first sit on to fun rides. He’s looked after my young nephew many of times and had him running around his legs also. Most recently he’s been on loan to a family and was handled daily by a 8 year old lad. Yet he will pick up the gears for a rider that knows the job.
Romeo is a easy straightforward horse to own, he doesn’t have any hard food just hay through the winter months. He’s up to date with farrier & dentistry, when in work he’s shod in front but currently barefoot.
Romeo has never had a sick day, he has no vices, lumps or bumps.
He’s lived with a variety of horses from shetlands to foals, he’s in no means dominant & first to come to you in the field.
To ride, Romeo is safe & responsive to his aids however if not asked he will walk like a slug! He’s more kick than pull, he’s ridden in a snaffle. I’ve ridden Romeo in a variety of settings, from school kick out times to open commons and not once has he been fazed by this.
Romeo will happily walk, trot, canter & pop a small fence in the school.
Although this breaks my heart I want Romeo to be someone’s number 1 horse with all the love & attention he can have. He will only be sold to the best of homes, I’m in no rush to sell him and until the perfect person comes along he won’t be leaving. Please don’t be offended if I don’t think your the right person. He is open to viewings in the next few weeks, he’s currently living his best furry hippo life, so will be brought in bathed & clipped.
Romeo is based in Blackwood South Wales.
