- In the last 2 years, Charlie has been a wonderful confidence giver to my daughter who has taken him from a pure show jumping pony, to doing eventing, dressage and tetrathlon, with huge success in all three. In 2022, they won the Pony Club Junior National Tetrathlon Championships as well as the Pony Club Regional Eventing Championships and coming 4th in the Regional Dressage Championships. They also qualified for the National Hunter Trial Championships at Eland Lodge and the Horse Events National Eventing Championships at Calmsden, and were clear at both. They were placed in 3 Dressage Championships at the Sunshine Tour a Hickstead, and had other wins and places in unaffiliated show jumping, eventing and dressage throughout the year. After a slow start to 2023 due to poor weather and daughter being injured, they came 2nd in the Pony Club Junior National Tetrathlon Championships and were placed 8th in the Pony Club National Dressage Championships in the Novice section in a very tough class. They have had wins and placings at eventing, as well as qualifying for the Horse Events National Eventing Championships at Dauntsey, and winning 4 Prelim Dressage classes at the Sunshine Tour at Hickstead. Charlie is a once in a lifetime pony. He is good to catch, box, shoe, clip and hacks out alone or in company. He has no vices. Gorgeous to look at and a joy to handle, he is the kindest and most honest pony you will find, but he is forward going so is not a novice ride. He would suit a young teenager looking to move up from 80 to 90 with the potential for going beyond, and will easily progress in dressage. This is a heart-breaking sale due to my daughter needing to move up to horses, so only the very best home will do. Please don't be offended if we ask for videos of your riding to help judge if he is the right pony for you. He would suit a quiet, sensitive, yet confident, rider as he is a true competition pony.
