- New Hall School is looking for a reliable and dedicated Groom to join our School’s equestrian team. Reporting to the Head of Equestrian, you will be responsible for the daily care and well-being of the School’s ponies and horses, including feeding, grooming, mucking out stables, and maintaining a clean and safe yard environment. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for horses and experience in equine care, ensuring each horse is healthy, comfortable, and ready for lessons, competitions, and other activities. You will assist with tack cleaning, help prepare horses for riding sessions, and support riding activities when needed. Key Responsibilities: Day-to-day horse care including feeding, grooming, mucking out, and exercising Assisting with lessons, lead rein sessions, and school events Maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students and visitors Liaising with vets, farriers, and supporting routine healthcare of horses Supporting general yard duties and covering for absent staff as needed Ensuring health & safety and safeguarding procedures are always followed The ideal candidate will be reliable, confident around horses, and passionate about equine care. Experience in a similar role is desirable. Weekend and emergency cover may be required as part of the role. This role offers the chance to work closely with both horses and students in a supportive and engaging school setting.
