Description: Young family relocating to Jersey, Chanel Island in August to a 40 acre Private use Equine Estate. Facilities include a gallop, 9 paddocks (10.5 acres), stables, walker, menage arena. Seeking a full time, live-in groom and rider for an immediate start. The role will develop over time from no horses to 10 horses, the already generous facilities will also be developed into top tier facilities over the next 18-24 months. The Estate has a team of house-staff on site. The role is to support the family with all things equine and to work closely with ‘Rebecca’ to help her to create and maintain her horse riding and horse owning dream. Rebecca is an intermediate rider however has never owned a horse and is a little rusty after taking some years out and is keen to work with you in creating a happy, relaxed and fun environment within a family home. The role gives someone with good experience the chance to help create any horse persons dream, seeking to aquire a great jumping horse, a great dressage horse, a couple of Shetlands, an all rounder Shire etc and potentially breed Point-Point or Polo. The idea is to enjoy the privilege of being an ‘all rounder’ private equine Estate with the possibility of a breeding business and / or creating show and completion level children riders, currently 2 and 3 years old. Minimum Requirements Driving licence, British passport, worked on horse yards or private equine estate before, technically good rider, keen to teach and guide. Accommodation details On-site, brand new renovated one bed apartment which is located in the staff accommodation area of the Estate.
