- Belchford Fergal (aka “Fergie”)
Fergie is a striking Welsh Section C gelding, rising 7 early next year, standing at 13.2hh. He is a chunky, substantial type who takes up the leg very well.
He was purchased over two years ago and has been carefully and sympathetically produced. At the beginning of 2025, he spent three months with a local producer, during which time he attended show jumping shows and training days, gaining valuable experience and confidence.
Fergie has attended Pony Club camp and several local shows with my daughter, where he has always been placed and regularly complimented on his looks. He would be well suited to a competitive teenager or small adult who has the time to continue his education and enjoy getting him out and about. He loves hacking and is happy to go out alone.
He is good to shoe, box, and clip. He is not suitable for turnout in a mixed herd. As a typical Welsh pony, he benefits from a knowledgeable home that understands the breed; he is not a small child’s pony.
Fergie is brave and bold when jumping — something he genuinely enjoys — and I believe he would make a fantastic Working Hunter Pony or a smart all-round show / Pony Club pony.
He is up to date with vaccinations, teeth, and physiotherapy. He is currently shod in front but has previously been barefoot.
A Kent & Masters saddle and a full Premier Equine rug wardrobe are available by separate negotiation.
5* home only for this much loved boy, only available due to wanting a mother daughter share for my very tall 10 year old daughter.
Lots of videos and pictures available.
