Description: Much loved 12.3hh (128cm JMB LHC) WELSH Sec B Gelding. 17yrs. From the Stockham bloodline. Wonderful sweet nature. Good to box, shoe, clip etc. Great to hack and safe in open spaces. Has done all PC activities with us, including PC camps and rallies. Has won PC and unaffiliated SJ competitions, up to 70cm as he is naturally forward and quick against the clock when asked. He also jumped two BS stepping stone DC’s with a more capable rider in spring 2025. He has been hacked and jumps sweetly at home for my capable 6yr old and many of her non horsey friends. When out at venues and competitions, he is more forward, so would suit a more established rider. He would not be suitable for a complete novice or a really nervous child. In his youth he was successful at BS, BD to elementary level and eventing. We haven’t competed at this level, but he has lots of quality on the flat with a capable pilot and a scopey jump. We paid a 5 figure sum for him in 2023, when he passed a 5 Stage vetting, however his low current asking price is due to his medical history, which I am happy to discuss openly, with any serious, potential buyer: He was advertised and we agreed a sale (for more £000’s than we are now asking for him) in May 2025. However the vetting brought up a right sided heart irregularity. His heart was scanned, identifying a bacterial infection affecting his heart valves, this was then successfully medicated and rescanned in July 2025. He is fit and well and the cardiologist has confirmed he is medically capable to continue to work and live his best life, but I appreciate this will put some people off. He had a successful cautionary back procedure in 2024, his vertebrae were NOT kissing (image of the X-ray is available) he also has some melanomas which were present when we bought him and have remained unchanged during our 2+ yrs of ownership. Please only enquire if you are accepting of all of the above, to save wasting each other’s time. He is a lovely little pony, with so much to give. At a fraction of the price that his quality would command, without his medical history and we would love to find him a long term, loving, 5* home.
