Description
Very reluctantly for sale to an exceptional home. Our beautiful 12hh, 10 year-old mare is looking for a very special new home. She has been my daughter’s absolute best friend for the past four years, so this is an incredibly difficult decision. She has a fantastic record of experience for a pony of her age and size, having enjoyed Pony Club, hunting, beach rides, fun rides, local shows and the Mini Champs at Bicton. She has always been a much-loved and very active member of our family. Currently ridden by an 8-year-old, she is happily jumping 60cm courses and has plenty more to give with the right rider. She is a fantastic lead rein pony, but we would describe her as a 1.5 rather than a complete first pony. She is not a pony who will simply carry an inexperienced rider around without input. She is sensible and genuine but does need a rider who is able to ride correctly and positively, particularly as the fences increase towards 60cm. She happily jumps 40/50cm and will jump 60cm courses with a competent child. She will go first or last and is equally happy having an active day out or settling into a quieter routine. **Good to:** • Load and travel • Farrier • Clip • Handle • Stable or turn out • Ride in company or at the front/back • Snaffle mouth She is handled daily by children and is very used to being around them, although she isn't the most cuddly pony and is more of a "get on with the job" type! She has previously had ulcers, which are well managed and do not affect her ridden work. We simply ensure she has a small feed before being ridden, and this has worked very well for her. Fully up to date with vaccinations, worming etc. This is very hard sale, and finding the right home is far more important to us than a quick sale. We are looking for a knowledgeable, loving Pony Club-type home where she can continue to have fun and be someone's best friend. She has given my daughter four wonderful years and has done so much with us. ❤️ We would love to find someone who will love her just as much. Loads of photos and videos available.
