- A Lovable Rogue!**
Benjy is a 17y, 13.2hh Welsh cross Fell gelding who has been with us for ten years. He is a good leg-in-each-corner type who currently lives out 24/7, clipped in the winter with a lightweight rug on. He thrives when he has a job to do, but unfortunately, we currently don't have a rider for him.
Benjy is a good-natured, cheeky pony who jumps for fun, but like many native breeds, he can take advantage of the situation. Throughout his time with us, Benjy has participated in Pony Club camps, fun rides, area competitions, unaffiliated show jumping, and one-day events. He is happy to lead, confidently going in front, and the same when following another when ridden forward, but if held back, he may express his feelings with a cheeky buck. He is not a schoolmaster, as he was brought on by my son, who had no interest in teaching him dressage. They just wanted to have fun!
Benjy can be a bit pushy on the ground, especially when food is involved—he will do anything for a tasty treat, particularly if it means getting to the nearest feed bucket or some longer grass. He is currently being brought back into work after not being ridden for 9 months and is enjoying having a job to do.
Benjy comes with a bridle and the option of a Sankey saddle under separate negotiation. He is barefoot, great to clip, travels well in a box, and is never sick or sorry.
