- Very difficult sale of our lovely 14.1hh, 6-year-old coloured cob gelding, Loki, who we have owned since he was two. Loki has been slowly and carefully produced and is now ready to continue his education with his next rider. He has three established paces, is schooling nicely on the flat and is really beginning to enjoy his jumping. He has been out and about to clinics, hound exercise and has recently completed a full six-day Pony Club camp, taking part in flatwork, showjumping and cross-country. He happily jumped a variety of coloured and natural fences and particularly enjoyed his cross-country. Loki hacks alone and in company and is sensible in traffic. He is good to load and travel, good for the farrier and dentist and straightforward to handle on the ground. He has always lived out with us and is happy in a herd. He is a substantial, leg-at-each-corner type who takes up the leg really well. I am 5'8" and don't feel under-horsed on him, so despite being 14.1hh he would equally suit a teenager or adult, as well as a competent younger rider with appropriate support. Loki is not a finished competition pony and we don't want to advertise him as one. He is a genuine young all-rounder with plenty more to come and would be a really rewarding pony for someone wanting to continue his education and put their own stamp on him. We think he has the potential to make a super Pony Club/Riding Club all-rounder and turn his hoof to a variety of disciplines. We have owned Loki for four years, so his history is fully known. This is a very difficult sale, but his rider is now concentrating on producing her competition horse and simply doesn't have the time to continue Loki's education alongside him. He deserves his own person who can give him the time and attention to continue developing and having fun. As he is only six and still continuing his education, he is not a first pony or suitable for a complete novice. Up to date with vaccinations, teeth and farrier. š Northamptonshire
