Description: This horse is grass intolerant and needs grass free management throughout the grazing season. High sugar grass causes him to have hind gut acidosis. Turns out in the winter as normal, when the grass is low sugar. Ideally suit someone with a turnout pen, surfaced track etc. I have him on hard standing with a field shelter & a bare patch of ground in the summer. Good on hay or Hayledge. No treatment or supplements needed, he’s a very good doer, just needs to be kept grass free. Homebred 15.3hh Palomino Gelding - Welsh x Hannovarian AES Registered. 11 yrs. Super smart palomino gelding. By a Sec D stallion and out of an Espri Hannovarian mare. Big movement. Really flashy. Deep body - really takes up the leg. Loves dressage, unfortunately it’s not my favourite thing, and I’ve eventually come to the hard decision that he is someone’s dream horse, but unfortunately not mine. Loads of potential to progress that I’ve not pursued. Equally would make a very eye catching show horse. Currently wasted at home just hacking and going in the arena occasionally. Has just been pottering about the last 18 months as I have other youngsters that take my time up. Videos won’t load so please WhatsApp me. Hacks alone and in company but is not a not a fan of big/fast traffic. Doesn’t like jumping (I do 🤣). Very low mileage for his age due to us just having different interests! Has had professional dressage schooling and can go beautifully. Canter can still be a bit big/unbalanced when he’s unfit (which he is now). Has done bits of everything over the years, been to clinics, fun rides, the odd show, beach, hacked everywhere etc. Not a dobbin, so no novices. Has been ridden by various riders. Is clever enough to start taking the mick after a while if someone lets him get away anything! Needs a rider confident enough to reassure him occasionally - in new situations etc. Does like to have a clear boss. Competent & confident riders only please. Can be sensitive - so Absolutely no nervous riders/novices/unbalanced riders/fresh out a riding school etc etc. Straightforward to do - good to box, clip, farrier, catch etc etc. Stands all day to be pampered and fussed with. Up to date with everything. He gets on with other horses well, and doesn’t worry if he’s left behind on his own etc. I would love a one to one home for him.
