Romeo
Owned by me 3 years
Not a world beater but he’ll give everything a go with a confident rider. He’s put up as a happy hacker because I’ve found that too high of a work load is too much for him. He’s currently worked 4/5 times a week mainly hacking. Sometimes we attempt to have a muck about it in the school. We do a fair bit of groundwork.
He isn’t the most straight forwards with mounting. Somewhere along the way he’s had some trauma with this so we’ve done a lot of work but he can be fidgety. Needs a patient someone to hold his hand and take things slow.
He’s got Welshie, appy and thoroughbred in him somewhere so he can be opinionated!
Loading isn’t a strong suit, again, patience is needed. He’s just a scared little boy underneath it all. I do not have means to practice this with no transport available anymore.
He’s shod on fronts and that does him fine. We tried barefoot for a good while but stones are his downfall.
We hack on the buckle for hours and I think he would best suit someone who basically wants to explore and have fun with friends a few times a week with no crazy ideas to go out jumping or showing every weekend.
I’m selling because I’ve come to the conclusion I just don’t need one so big anymore.
He will only go to the best of homes, knowledgeable and kind. References required and no under 25’s. Yard will be vetted.
Old injury does mean X-rays won’t be clear but happy to vet. Injury does not affect him in any way. Happy to discuss.
Can be ridden bitless, bareback, whatever. He doesn’t really care. He will come with all wardrobe he has.
I’d prefer he stay as local as possible and would be staying in touch. Sale contract would state he be returned for sale price should anything be amiss. I will not allow him to be passed around.
Phone call is better than a text!
Thanks for reading :)
