A substantial 16hh Irish Cob mare with plenty of bone and a real weight-carrying type. A lovely quality mare with a kind nature on the ground, she enjoys attention, being groomed and is easy to have around.
She has been in the UK for just under three weeks since arriving from Ireland. She is not suitable for a novice rider and, in my opinion, would benefit from being professionally restarted to get the best from her. She is very forward off the leg and would not appreciate an unbalanced or inexperienced rider.
She was purchased as a potential plod; however, she is very much not that type. This is not to say she wouldn’t make a lovely riding horse, but she needs a confident, experienced rider who enjoys a more forward-going mare. She and the right rider could form a great partnership, but she is not suited to someone wanting a quiet, kick-along cob.
She is excellent around heavy traffic and agricultural machinery, as she is currently kept on a busy working yard with machinery operating daily. She is easy to keep, currently only shod in front, and is good to handle for day-to-day care.
She is happy living in or out, although I personally feel she would thrive with a more natural lifestyle and may prefer living out.
She has mainly been used as a broodmare, and from her temperament, type and how she presents herself, I feel this may potentially be the job she would enjoy most. I have been told she has produced some stunning offspring, and looking at the quality of the mare herself, it is easy to see why. She would be a lovely prospect for someone looking for a quality broodmare, while still being capable of continuing her ridden education with the right person.
I have videos of her being ridden prior to purchase, which I am happy to share. However, in my experience, she is a lot more forward-going than those videos may suggest, so I want to be completely transparent with any prospective buyer.
She has a recent two-stage vetting report from June, which I am happy to share with genuine prospective buyers.
Home is genuinely far more important so please message me if you feel you could give her a forever one
