- 14.3hh Traditional Irish Cob Mare – 7yo – Absolute Saint & Fun All-Rounder
It is with a heavy heart that we are looking for a forever home for our much-loved 14.3hh, 7-year-old Traditional Irish Cob mare. She is a proper short-coupled, well-built cob with plenty of bone, and since arriving with us she has been an absolute joy — sweet, genuine and one of the easiest ponies on the yard. Everyone loves her!
Hacking & Out and About
She has proven to be a rock-solid, confident hacker and has spent the summer as a lead horse in a busy trekking centre, taking everything in her stride including heavy traffic and busy environments.
We’ve also taken her to the beach (wide open spaces!) amongst kite surfers, walkers and dogs, and she behaved like a total professional.
She will happily hack alone or in company and is sensible and mannerly in open spaces.
On the Ground
A real sweetheart who loves attention and a pamper.
She is easy to catch, clip, shoe and travel. She’s a great “good doer”, happy living in a herd or stabled at night.
Under saddle
A kind, willing and responsive ride with a lovely attitude. She is not strong or silly and enjoys having a job to do. She is more of a “push-button” cob than a plod, and would suit someone who wants a cob with a little bit of sparkle as well as reliability.
She is happiest with a rider who can ride positively and consistently, and she gives you a lovely, genuine feel.
Potential / Future Home
She has a great engine and would be an exciting prospect for someone wanting to do a bit of everything —
hacking, fun rides, low-level schooling, showing, hunter trials and potentially hunting.
She has done hunter trials earlier in her life in Ireland. Schooling is improving all the time and she is a quick learner with a brilliant attitude.
She deserves a 5⭐ long-term home where she will be loved, enjoyed and given plenty of attention.
