Description: Stunning traditional Clydesdale mare. 16 years young. Completely safe and steady, bombproof hack, suitable for complete novice, nervous or older rider. She will happily plod along or will go up the gears, if you get after her. She much prefers to walk and trot but does have a beautiful canter. She has excellent brakes but I feel she is a bit green in the school for things like leg yield/shoulder in etc. but she does try bless her. She's very light in the hand and doesn't lean on the bit. Always snaffle mouthed. Never bucked or reared under saddle. Unfazed by any traffic, cyclists, flags, prams or wheelie bins etc. Good doer, just needs hay/grass, no hard feed. Shod at the front due to road hacking, will go first or last, and is happy to go out alone and not pine for her field mates. This horse must have stable, she does not live out, as she can get sweet itch if you leave her. We haven't seen it this year but have been very careful with her using preventative lotion. No illness or injuries. very happy and healthy. She is regularly ridden and fit and ready to go but looking for a quieter life. She will pop the occasional small jump but is no show jumper. Excellent behavior at shows and loves all the attention she gets. We have shown her in-hand and always come away with a ribbon. Perfect to load, and will stand to be groomed all day. There is not a nasty bone in her body, she is very quiet and gentle - just big ! Homes will be vetted. Experienced owners only. Sad sale due to change of circumstances. She comes with all her tack and rugs including a lovely English leather heavy horse GP saddle. Serious buyers only please. No dealers sorry. Trial periods or loans/LWVTB will not be considered.
