Description
Dash is a 14.2hh, four-year-old Connemara gelding with exciting potential for showing, all-round activities or eventing. He has already gained some competition experience, having attended a dressage competition and three in-hand shows, and has been awarded champion. With a rider he knows, Dash is confident in his work. His current rider can hack him alone and in company, take him to arena hires and enjoy a wide variety of activities with him. He is also described as super loving and is ready to form a close partnership with the right person. Dash is, however, extremely nervous around new people and requires a confident, experienced rider with the time and patience to build his confidence gradually. He is sharp and can shoot forward when unsure of the person riding him, so he is not suitable for a novice. His new owner must be prepared to start with the basics and allow them to build their confidence together. Prospective buyers should not expect Dash to immediately show the same confidence at a viewing as he does with a rider he knows. Please don’t be offended if you are asked to provide videos of yourself riding before a viewing is arranged. Dash was treated for ulcers earlier in the year. He is currently barefoot, good for the farrier and good to handle, load and travel. He is looking for an experienced, one-to-one home where he can continue his education and fulfil his potential. With the right person, Dash could be a very rewarding pony to produce. Based in Renishaw, near Junction 30 of the M1.
