Description
Noah is a 15.2hh gelding. A forward going safe hack, great in traffic, not spooky, and good alone or in company. He works beautifully in the school in walk, trot and canter, and would do a sweet dressage test. His jumping is coming along really nicely and he has recently competed in a few low level SJ classes. He always tries his best and is very teachable. He would make a lovely allrounder or endurance horse as he has a phenomenal engine. He holds the British 2-mile trotting record, which is a huge test of stamina. He is a French trotter who does not pace. Ride and drive. He retired from racing, fit and well at 12 and has been quietly reschooled since, proving to be very versatile and an absolute pleasure. Noah is an extremely nice person. A very sweet and gentle horse in the stable, great with children, great with the farrier, and a seasoned and confident traveller in lorry/trailer. No health issues: Noah is a robust, fit boy, with great hooves. Lives in or out but would not thrive living alone — he’s fine to be left for a few hours but doesn’t fully relax until his friends are back. Currently ridden by capable teenagers (13 and 17) under adult supervision as well as adults, but novices need not apply. If you’re looking for a classy, willing little horse with a beautiful temperament and you enjoy a forward-going ride, this is Noah.

I buy French Trotters and Standardbred pacers at the end of their racing careers and turn them into riding horses. After 20 years of racing my own Standardbreds and enjoying a range of ridden disciplines with the same horses at the same time, I have become a huge advocate for the breed. I have great contacts in racing and a lot of experience of the breed.
