Description
What dreams are made of – stunning Connemara all-rounder with the potential to excel at riding club, Pony Club or WH. ✅ Temperament to die for; super kind and friendly ✅ Works nicely on the flat with three super paces; very sensible, rideable and straightforward ✅ Jumps well showjumping and cross-country; could excel at riding club, Pony Club or working hunter Evie is an absolutely gorgeous 15hh grey Connemara mare, offered for sale on behalf of her owner. Evie is one in a million, with so much class, quality and potential, and the most amazing temperament to match. She is very well bred, being Class 1 registered with five generations of pedigree recorded. She is incredibly eye-catching and really stands out from the crowd. She is an ideal size for teenagers coming off ponies as well as adults, so could make a brilliant mother-daughter share. She is a lovely stamp with a nice, deep girth and could easily carry a taller rider. Evie is a very desirable type who could do lots of jobs. She has excellent conformation, is blemish-free and has straight movement, with very good feet (Nn for hoof wall). She is very correct and show quality, and could excel at working hunter. She is the perfect all-rounder, with ability across all disciplines and a real “can-do” attitude. She is lovely now but has so much more to come, with a very exciting future ahead of her. Best of all, she is very safe, sensible and rideable, and is always a pleasure to work with. Evie has three super paces. She works correctly between leg and hand into a soft outline, is nice and light in the contact and is always ridden in a snaffle. She gives a lovely feel down the rein and is very even on both reins. She works at a good, medium pace, goes nicely off the leg and is not at all sharp or sensitive. She is very rideable, well-balanced and nicely schooled for her age. She is straightforward to ride, with a good brain, and is very sane and sensible. She is a good girl to ride and has no ridden vices. She has such a lovely attitude towards her work and is a quick learner who always puts a smile on her rider’s face. Evie has the potential to excel in dressage. She has been to arena hires and is now ready to go to a competition and work her way through the levels. She would also look super in the show ring. Evie loves her jumping and makes a lovely, neat shape over a fence. She approaches fences in a relaxed rhythm without rushing and is very honest and genuine to jump. She doesn’t get strong or fizzy; she is simply easy, straightforward and wants to do the job. She is very bold and confidently jumps all fillers and water trays on the first attempt. She has been to several jumping arena hires and training clear rounds, where she has shown lots of potential for riding club activities. She is very easy to ride around a course of fences and is currently jumping around 80cm. She is good to ride at new places and has a great attitude towards her jumping. She is now ready to attend clinics and competitions. Evie is equally bold over cross-country fences. She is very rideable and has jumped everything asked of her in a sensible manner, including water and ditches. She is a straightforward ride and jumps from a balanced rhythm. I can see her excelling as an eventer, as she shows lots of potential across all three disciplines. With some more mileage, she could make a super Cotswold Cup contender. She would also be very well suited to working hunter. Evie is lovely to hack both alone and in company. We are based directly on a main through-road and she is good in traffic. We pull into a driveway to allow lorries and tractors to pass, where she stands quietly. She is super in open spaces, takes everything in her stride and goes along with a smile on her face. She is very mannerly and will canter happily in any order on an easy rein. She was great cantering through stubble fields and didn’t become competitive. She has been on pleasure rides, which she loves, and is so much fun. She would be well suited to someone wanting to combine pleasure rides with riding club activities, or equally to focus on either one. Evie has a superb, kind and friendly temperament. She is extremely polite and respectful of your space. She loves people and will make someone an amazing best friend, as she is highly interactive and forms a really strong bond with her person. She loves being groomed, pampered and given attention. She is good to handle in every way. She lives in or out and is happy turned out next to or with other horses. She is very quiet in the field and gets along well with horses and ponies. She loads perfectly single-handedly and travels like a dream. She really is such a genuine, honest horse who deserves the best home. Evie would be very suitable for a competent teenager coming off ponies or an adult. She could make a fabulous riding club or Pony Club horse, with bags of potential across all three disciplines. She would also suit a home wanting to enjoy plenty of hacking and pleasure rides, or someone wishing to compete in dressage, showjumping or eventing. She is sadly only for sale due to her owner’s sudden change in circumstances. Her owner would love to stay in touch. Evie is a real yard favourite and I have a genuine soft spot for her, so she is only available to a five-star, experienced home. She is very sound and healthy and passed a five-stage vetting a couple of months ago. Based in Ramsey, Peterborough.
