Description: Ennis Rising 10-year-old, 15.2hh Connie x ISH gelding Dark bay with a Green Passport – Clover Hill grandsire For an established adult rider, Ennis is a fantastic, forward ride with brakes. He moves nicely and loves to jump—both cross-country and showjumping, rustic and coloured. He has been successful in unaffiliated dressage in his previous home and works well on the flat, though prefers a variety of disciplines. He would suit a one-to-one home. He will test boundaries (reluctance in transitions—nothing silly) with a novice, so he needs a firm but fair rider. Good to hack, sensible in open spaces, and has been to the beach. He is snaffle mouthed for everything, not looky, silly or spooky, and good with dogs, traffic—and even helicopters! He has hunted, is good with hounds, and happy to go first or last. He doesn’t need to be worked every day. Up to date with farrier, dentist, vaccinations, worming and physio. Comes with tack—saddle recently fitted by a master saddler. Good to catch and tie up. Lives in or out, alone or in a herd. Good doer. Excellent to travel in both trailer and lorry, with or without company. Needs sedation for clipping and prefers someone with him for the farrier. He is pigeon-toed but this has no clinical significance—sure-footed and passed a five-stage vetting in July 2024. Very sad sale—he’s not suited as a novice mother/daughter share and deserves to find his person to take him on new adventures. Excellent viewing facilities. Please call 07870 647425.
