Description: Ex Racehorse with so much talent being wasted sat in a field. Gimli (passported Ximli) is an Ex Racehorse eligible and registered with RoR who has had some retraining since I bought him a few years ago. But due to personal circumstances and work commitments have not been able to work with him for a while. We dabbled in dressage, show jumping and cross country with a large focus on lots of hacking also. He is amazing in a show environment and honestly thrives off of it. His first show he even managed a first in his first ever dressage test. Sad to see him go but he is being wasted as a field ornament and deserves the chance to enjoy life outside of a field. He's not the cuddliest boy, would prefer a quick brush before you tack up and go. But generally behaves well with the farrier and vet. And normally loads well, though occasionally needs some gentle encouragement. I think he would thrive in an environment where he is busy as he prefers it. He genuinely enjoys going out as well as working in the arena or round pen. Will work on a lunge line or without one in the round pen. Can sometimes be strong while out, but a quieter hand works well with him. I've only ever had him in a loose ring fulmer under saddle, nothing stronger needed.
