- 🎶 ELVIS 🎶
16.2hh, 5-year-old (2021) Irish Sports Horse gelding. Unrecorded breeding, out of the 160 stallion “Livello”.
Elvis is a super young horse and an absolute pleasure to have around. He has the kindest, most genuine nature—always the first to greet you with his head over the door, making him a real yard favourite. He is easy to do in all ways: good to clip, bathe, load, travel, and for the dentist. He’s straightforward to catch, happy to live in or out, and enjoys attention, standing to be fussed all day. Regularly handled and ridden (on lead) by my non-horsey partner, he remains consistently polite and mannerly.
A lovely modern type who has been given a correct, unrushed start to his education. Elvis is riding away sweetly on the flat with three expressive, rangy paces. Still green and with plenty to learn but genuine, willing, and straightforward. Has never offered a buck/rear/nap & is now ready to gain further mileage with his new partner!
He may occasionally have a baby spook, as expected for his age, but continues to grow in confidence. He has proven to be a sensible and reliable ride, ridden by advanced teenagers and an amateur girl. Always snaffle mouthed and is a forward-thinking and responsive ride.
Will hack alone and in company, has seen traffic, doesn’t get silly/fizzy in open spaces & will happily sit at the back of the ride.
He has jumped a handful of times under saddle and has loose-jumped over some impressive fences, showing plenty of scope and a careful technique.
He arrived with rain scald, which has now fully resolved; his coat is currently growing back following clipping. This has had no impact on him and further reflects his kind and easy-going nature.
