- Description
- Danny is a full up 14.3hh 4 year old registered connemara gelding.
Traditional in his breeding, he has very corrected confirmation, stunning build and movement.
Temperament, Danny is an absolute delight. He loves a fuss, he is friendly, inquisitive and kind. He is easy going, happy to stand with no head collar to be hosed down, he isn’t worried about sprays, he is a old head on young shoulders. He will stand perfectly to mount from the floor or mounting block. He is also a horse that is confident in new environments, he is as confident at local venues as he is at home, in solo or group environments making him a really reliable chap for any one wanting to go out alone with their horse to lessons and or riding club activities or events. He loads, travels and settles at the destination superbly.
He is not worried about horses moving around on the yard and mixes really well. Great to handle in all ways.
Ridden, danny has been produced to a brilliant standard for his age. He has shown his ability and can now continue to grow up as youngsters should by continuing at a nice gradual pace.
As far as what he would be suited to is….hacking, riding club, pony club, low level eventing, dressage, hunting, really he is suited to any discipline.
He has 3 beautiful balanced paces in the arena, and is super to ride in open spaces aswell. Being around other horses is no issue.
He is happy to stand not fidgeting while you chat to sort some thing mid session, he has a really super mind and nature. He has competed in dressage at prelim 1 scoring 68.2% on his first outing and couldn’t have been better behaved in all aspects of the outing. He has attended many arena hires and riding to music lessons.
Hacking he is super, been brilliant with the traffic we have seen. Hacks alone and in company. Will stand like a rock in the road if you need to get off for any reason and to get back on.
Jumping. Danny has jumped poles and xc fences showing super ability. Not something we are doing much of but we have the videos to show he has.
He is good to do in always, list them off…
Catch, shoe, groom, bath, tack up, untack, stable, turn out, muck out around, load, travel, mount, dismount, tie up, pick feet, spray with fly spray, rug, lead and any thing else i could thing of.
Danny being 4 wouldn’t be suited to a novice as there will be the odd green moment over the next few years where he will still need direction and a hand hold but that aside he would suit most people wanting to produce their next horse. He’s a real treasure, looks, temperament and ability everyone wants.
